The mall has become the most popular destination for tourists in Chicago, according to new data from the Illinois Department of Tourism.
More than half of the 3,000 visitors who visited Chicago in the first three months of 2017 were from outside the city, according the data from TripAdvisor.
That was up from 49 percent in the same period last year.
The number of visitors who had come from outside Chicago was down by more than half, to 4,945.
This was the lowest number since TripAdvisers started keeping track of such statistics in 2004.
TripAdvisor said this is the first time since the data began in 2004 that the number of people visiting Chicago from outside of the city has dropped in three years.
In 2016, there were more than 2,000 people from outside Illinois visiting the mall, which was the second-largest number after the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
The number of residents from outside was up by almost 300 people, to more than 1,200.
The city is one of the most-visited tourist destinations in the U.S., with more than 7 million visitors visiting each year, according, with more people living in the city than in any other U.M.S. city.
