It was a good week for the NFL, as it got the first of two major stadium upgrades this week.
The $4 billion in upgrades to the NFL’s $2.7 billion Franklin Mills Stadium are the second of three major renovations to the facility.
The first, completed in June of last year, is expected to add a $500 million stadium roof, a $200 million stadium lighting system and an additional $500,000 in upgrades.
The third is expected for 2018.
NFL teams have been working on stadium renovations for years, and this year they will begin work at the facility in the fall of 2019.
The Bills and Bills Park are located on the east side of the stadium and are expected to open in 2019.
