Oak Park, Ohio, the hometown of President Barack Obama, is getting another mall as part of the planned redevelopment of the sprawling former railroad depot.
The Oak Park Mall will open in 2020, and will have a mix of retailers and restaurants.
A large, glass-enclosed space will be built over a restaurant and grocery store, with outdoor seating and an outdoor market.
The building will be surrounded by parks, and the Oak Park Park Neighborhood Association will own it.
The mall is the largest in the U.S., and it is expected to attract $400 million in private investment, including $50 million from the city.
Oak Park, located in northern Ohio, is the site of a planned redevelopment.
It will also include a restaurant, grocery store and office space.
Oak Park is also the site for a proposed new mall in Phoenix.
